I have a Colt Govt Model .380 and when it's real hot here in MS and I can't carry with a holster I drop it into my jean pocket and feel safe with it.

I strongly suggest that you use a pocket holster, if you don't already do that.
A pocket holster breaks up the shape of the gun, keeps pocket lint out of the works for a reasonable time, protects the trigger from negligent-discharge difficulties, and keeps the pistol upright and placed for an easy presentation.
Please also make sure not to carry anything else in the same pocket.

(If I'm "teaching my grandma' to suck eggs" here, please accept my apologies for my presumption.)

I am starting to look for a 380 to carry instead of my Sig P250C. I'd like a Seecamp and will likely get in line for one, but in the interest of having something before I'm ready to retire I'm thinking of a Sig P232 and wonder if anyone has any beta on that gun?

Ruger LCP, .380 caliber. When it's at the stores, after January 15th, the new Ruger SR9 Compact (9 mm) is something I want to look at.

My constant companion is a Sig 232. It's a little larger than the LCP and such but it is very dependable and easier to hold on to. I've fired everything I can get and have no problems. I did have a problem with some reloads. I found that a taper crimp helps feeding. If you can get one, go for it! The only problem of course is the .380 ammo. I carry the Hornady Critical Defense rounds.

I'm waiting to see the SR9c myself. I don't think it's anywhere near the size of the LCP. I carry the LCP, no problems doing so, but my SR9 is harder to conceal.
